The Role
Lead day-to-day practice operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care and an outstanding client experience
Oversee staffing: recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management for technicians, client service, and support teams
Foster a positive, accountable culture; champion new initiatives and drive operational improvements
Manage financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, billing, expense control, A/R oversight, and regular KPI review with action planning
Elevate client relations: coach service standards, manage feedback and reviews, and maintain clear, proactive communication
Direct practice operations: inventory control, vendor relationships, scheduling workflows, supplies, and equipment maintenance
Maintain and refine SOPs, policies, and quality controls to enhance efficiency and compliance
Lead marketing and community outreach: oversee social media, website content, promotions, and local event participation
Ensure regulatory compliance: recordkeeping, confidentiality, OSHA safety, and proper handling/disposal of hazardous materials
Guide technology use: train staff on practice software and coordinate with IT to resolve issues
Full-time position; fast-paced environment with occasional evening or weekend work based on practice needs
Requirements
3-5 years of management experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting
Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial analysis skills
Proven leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities
Strong client service orientation and communication skills
Proficiency with practice management software and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to prioritize, solve problems, and drive results in a dynamic setting
Comfortable with occasional physical tasks common in clinical environments
License to practice in Vermont (or ability to obtain), as applicable to the role
