Veterinarian

The Hospital
This established small-animal practice delivers full-service, preventive-focused care in a collaborative setting. The team includes veterinarians, licensed/certified technicians, veterinary assistants, client service coordinators, and practice leadership, creating a well-structured environment where doctors can focus on medicine.
- Consistent daytime schedule (typically 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) with team-based coverage
- In-house diagnostics including digital radiography, dental x-ray, and laboratory testing
- On-site pharmacy with convenient prescription support
- General surgery, routine dental procedures, and spay/neuter services
- Additional client services such as drop-off appointments, language interpretation (including ASL support), microchipping, select DNA tests for purchase, and compassionate end-of-life care
- Emphasis on preventive medicine, client education, and low-stress handling

The Role
- Full-time small-animal general practice with a strong focus on preventive care
- Perform wellness exams, vaccinations, basic dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgeries
- Utilize in-house diagnostics (digital x-ray, dental radiography, lab) to inform treatment plans
- Provide clear client communication and education to support long-term pet health
- Practice low-stress handling and support efficient patient flow

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited program
- Active Oregon veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) and commitment to high standards of medical care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Comfort with routine surgery and dentistry in a general practice setting
