The Hospital
This is a full-service small-animal practice caring for dogs and cats and trusted by pet owners across the Adirondack region. The team is known for a collaborative, learning-focused environment with experienced veterinarians, technicians and client service professionals who support efficient, high-quality care. On-site capabilities include an in-house laboratory for rapid diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, dental imaging and therapeutic laser, with integrative options such as acupuncture. A board-certified surgeon visits regularly to perform advanced procedures, offering strong backup and professional development opportunities. House-call services are available to support community outreach, and established referral relationships provide additional case support when needed.

The Role
- Provide high-quality general practice care for dogs and cats, including wellness, internal medicine and day-time urgent needs
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, as desired and commensurate with experience
- Utilize on-site diagnostics and imaging to develop and deliver timely treatment plans
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and collaborate closely with technicians and doctors
- Partner with a visiting specialist on advanced surgical cases when scheduled
- Contribute to accurate medical records and a positive, team-centered culture
- Relief scheduling coordinated in advance based on mutual availability

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in New York (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and commitment to client service
- Experience in small-animal general practice preferred
